What is a Notary?

A Notary Public is a qualified Lawyer who also holds a Diploma in Notarial Practice.

All Notaries have a special seal which they use, along with their signature, to approve documents. Most documents that need a Notary’s signature are for international use.

A Notary will need to meet with you to check your identity and your authority to sign the document. To approve your document for use abroad the Notary will stamp it with his/her special seal and sign it, and will often attach a certificate as well.
